Xiaomi debuts ‘Pick Mi Up’ home service in India: A closer look and pricing details

Xiaomi India has unveiled “Pick Mi Up,” a convenient home pickup service accessible through the Xiaomi Service+ app, tailored for Xiaomi and Redmi device users. This service extends support for smartphone repairs and assistance. In parallel news, Xiaomi Corp. has announced profits surpassing expectations within the smartphone market.

Xiaomi India has launched “Pick Mi Up,” a home pickup service available through the Xiaomi Service+ app designed exclusively for Xiaomi and Redmi device users. This service provides a hassle-free solution for smartphone repairs and access to support features.

According to Pricebaba’s report, the Pick Me Up service provides a seamless solution for smartphone repairs. To avail of this service, you can easily install the Xiaomi Service+ app, select the ‘Pick Mi’ option, and provide the necessary details to initiate a convenient pickup and drop-off service for your device.

The Xiaomi Service+ app offers Xiaomi and Redmi device users access to a comprehensive suite of additional support features. These include remote product demonstrations, self-help resources, chat options with a chatbot or live representative, appointment scheduling, service center location services, and a variety of other functionalities.

Furthermore, customers have the opportunity to verify the prices of spare parts and check the warranty status of their devices. For those who have already submitted their devices for repair, the app enables easy tracking of repair status.

In the meantime, Xiaomi Corp. has reported a more robust profit than anticipated in the smartphone market, driven by cost-saving initiatives and a focus on higher-priced mobile devices. According to a report by Bloomberg News, the company’s net income doubled to 3.67 billion yuan in the three months ending in June.

However, the average estimate for Xiaomi’s net income was 3.16 billion yuan. The report also noted that revenue experienced a smaller-than-expected decline of 4%, reaching 67.4 billion yuan. This reduction was narrower compared to previous quarters when the smartphone market faced more significant challenges.

The smartphone manufacturer headquartered in Beijing has been strategically reducing expenditures, which have contributed to stabilizing its financial performance amid China’s uncertain economic rebound. Bloomberg has reported that the domestic mobile market is currently displaying indications of reaching its lowest point.
