X has just launched its ads revenue sharing program for creators

X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter and presently undergoing rebranding under the leadership of Elon Musk, has officially unveiled its latest endeavor – an ads revenue sharing program tailored specifically for content creators. While the company had already initiated payouts for select creators earlier this month, it has now opened the doors for users worldwide to apply for the program, provided they meet the necessary eligibility criteria. Aspiring participants can conveniently access the program through the monetization tab available in the settings section.

To be eligible for this exciting opportunity, aspiring creators must either be subscribed to X Blue, the new name for what was previously known as Twitter Blue, or be recognized as a Verified Organization. Additionally, a support document regarding the program specifies that candidates must have garnered a significant online presence with “at least 15 million impressions on their cumulative posts within to be eligible for the program, you must have gathered “at least 15 million impressions on your cumulative posts within the last 3 months” and have a minimum of 500 followers during the same period. These criteria aim to ensure that those who have demonstrated considerable engagement and impact on the platform can partake in the revenue-sharing venture.

The announcement of this program comes after it had been in development for a considerable period. Elon Musk first revealed its impending launch back in February, declaring the official commencement of the revenue-sharing initiative at that time. Since then, the company has been refining the process, leading to the recent issuance of initial payouts to a select group of creators. The program’s introduction has already generated excitement, with early participants expressing satisfaction and reporting earnings of thousands of dollars.

As X continues to evolve its platform and offerings, this latest step in supporting content creators marks a significant milestone in the company’s efforts to foster a thriving and engaging digital community. With the revenue-sharing program in place, X aims to empower creators from diverse backgrounds to continue producing high-quality content while being rewarded for their contributions.

The company aims to keep the process straightforward, allowing all eligible X Blue and Verified Organizations subscribers to participate in the revenue-sharing program as long as they meet the eligibility criteria and join. As long as your earnings exceed $50, you will receive payouts. However, the support document does not elaborate on the exact method X uses to calculate the value of these payouts.

The program has been under development for a while now. Musk initially announced it in February, stating that the revenue share would begin “starting today.” After a few months, the first payouts started to be distributed, and some participants reported earning thousands of dollars.
