Karnataka Government Approves 91 Industrial Investment Proposals Worth Rs 7,659 Crore, Promising Over 18,000 Jobs

The Karnataka government has granted approval to 91 industrial investment proposals amounting to Rs 7,659.52 crore, with the potential to generate 18,146 jobs. The State Level Single Window Clearance Committee (SLSWCC), led by Minister for Large and Medium Industries and Infrastructure Development M B Patil, convened to greenlight these projects. Among them, 26 projects requiring over Rs 50 crore in investments were given the go-ahead, totaling Rs 5,750.73 crore and offering job prospects for 13,742 individuals. Notable investors in these projects include Maruti Suzuki India, Aequs Consumer, South West Mining, Tata Semiconductor, and Krypton (India) Solutions Private Ltd.

Among the 91 proposals, approximately 57 investment projects fall within the Rs 15 crore to Rs 50 crore range, aggregating to Rs 1,144.94 crore in investments and projecting employment opportunities for 4,404 individuals within Karnataka. Furthermore, eight projects with an additional investment of Rs 763.85 crore were also greenlit by the committee.

Some significant investment projects approved during the meeting include:

  1. Establishment of Pratibha Patil Sugar Industries Pvt in Vijayapura district with an investment of Rs 489.50 crore.
  2. Aequs Consumer Products Private Ltd Unit 3 in Dharwad District, involving an outlay of Rs 456 crore.
  3. Tata Semiconductor Assembly and Test Private Limited in Kolar, with an investment of Rs 200 crore, expected to employ 155 individuals.
  4. Maruti Suzuki India Ltd in Nelamangala, Bengaluru Rural District, with an investment of Rs 137.6 crore.
  5. South West Mining Limited in Musinayakanahalli and Torangallu Village, Sandur taluk of Ballari district, investing Rs 411 crore and offering employment to 65 people.

These approvals signify the state’s commitment to fostering economic growth and employment opportunities through significant investments across various sectors.
