Apple Intelligence to roll out on iPhones, iPads, and Macs in India this April
Apple has announced that iOS 18.4, iPadOS 18.4, and macOS Sequoia 15.4 will be released in April, bringing Apple Intelligence with localized English support for India. The update will also extend support to additional languages, including French, German, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, and Simplified Chinese. Furthermore, Apple Intelligence will now be available in the European Union as part of this rollout.
Alongside AI enhancements, iOS 18.4 will introduce new features such as priority notifications. However, users eager for the redesigned Siri experience will have to wait, as it is expected to debut in iOS 18.5.
While Apple Intelligence has been accessible on select devices, its availability was initially restricted to a limited set of languages. The upcoming update significantly expands support, making AI capabilities accessible to a broader range of users worldwide.
For Apple Vision Pro users, a visionOS update will bring Apple Intelligence to the company’s first spatial computing device, although initially only in US English.
The iOS 18.4 update will also make Apple Intelligence available on more devices, including the iPhone 15 Pro lineup, the upcoming iPhone 16 series, and the newly introduced iPhone 16e—the most budget-friendly device to support Apple’s AI features.
Additionally, all iPads and Macs equipped with M-series chips—including the iPad Air, iPad Pro, MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, Mac mini, iMac, Mac Studio, and Mac Pro—will gain access to Apple Intelligence.
To ensure a smooth update process, Apple advises users to free up sufficient storage space on their devices for the installation and necessary AI resources.
