Beats has introduced the Powerbeats Pro 2 in India, featuring heart rate tracking capabilities designed for fitness enthusiasts

Apple has unveiled the Powerbeats Pro 2, its most sophisticated and premium wireless earbuds, in India. Launched on Tuesday by its subsidiary Beats, these fitness-focused earbuds are priced at ₹29,900 and will be available for purchase starting February 13 in four color options: Black, Quick Sand, Hyper Purple, and Electric Orange.

According to Oliver Schusser, Apple’s vice president of Music, Sports, and Beats, “The Powerbeats Pro 2 represents a significant milestone in Beats’ evolution, designed to endure rigorous workouts while incorporating cutting-edge technology and exceptional sound quality. With features like heart rate monitoring, Active Noise Cancellation, and Transparency mode, these earbuds redefine the audio experience for fitness enthusiasts.”

The Powerbeats Pro 2 offers several enhancements over its predecessor, including a more compact design, longer battery life, and new features such as Active Noise Cancellation and wireless charging. Like other recent Apple devices, they come equipped with a USB-C port that supports fast charging.

These earbuds are compatible with Apple devices like iPhone, iPad, and Mac, as well as Android smartphones. They provide up to 10 hours of listening time on a single charge without ANC, and the charging case adds three more full charges, totaling up to 45 hours of playback. A quick five-minute charge can give users up to 90 minutes of listening time.

Distinct from AirPods and typical earbuds, the Powerbeats Pro 2 features a newly designed ear hook made from reinforced nickel-titanium alloy, ensuring a secure fit and flexibility while being 20% lighter than previous models. They also have an IPX4 rating for water resistance.

The built-in heart rate monitor offers real-time workout data, using LED optical sensors that measure blood flow over 100 times per second. It is compatible with various fitness apps in India, including Runna, Nike Run Club, Open, Ladder, Slopes, and YaoYao.

With Class 1 Bluetooth connectivity and support for Apple’s Find My feature, tracking down misplaced Powerbeats Pro 2 earbuds is more convenient than ever.
