This bold step accompanies the airline’s ambitious strategy to modernize its fleet by acquiring a staggering 470 cutting-edge aircraft in a historic multi-billion-dollar deal.

Aviation enthusiasts and passengers will have the chance to see ‘The Vista’ emblem by the end of December this year, coinciding with the introduction of Air India’s inaugural Airbus A350 into its fleet. The captivating design and livery feature a captivating palette of deep reds, rich aubergines, and shimmering gold accents, complemented by an enchanting chakra-inspired pattern.
Campbell Wilson, Air India’s visionary CEO, articulated the underlying transformation, stating, “Our transformative new brand reflects an ambition to make Air India a world-class airline serving guests from around the globe, and that represents a new India proudly on the global stage.” Wilson’s enthusiasm for the airline’s new identity is evident in his description of the new Air India – bold, confident, vibrant, yet rooted in the deep heritage and traditions that define Indian hospitality on a global scale.
The beloved ‘Maharaja’ emblem, a cornerstone of Air India’s identity, has undergone an exciting evolution, retaining its iconic essence while embracing a vibrant new color palette. This step symbolizes Air India’s evolution, honoring its history while propelling into the future.
Air India’s audacious move has resulted in a monumental agreement to purchase 470 new aircraft, solidifying an impressive $70 billion deal with aviation giants Airbus and Boeing. The delivery journey will commence in November, following the contract signing at the Paris Air Show in June. Among the remarkable additions to Air India’s fleet are 34 A350-1000 and six A350-900 Airbus models, in addition to 20 Boeing 787 Dreamliners and 10 Boeing 777X widebody aircraft.
