Adobe has introduced new AI-powered editing tools and product updates at its annual MAX creators conference in Tokyo, Japan. The latest additions include Adaptive Profiles and Distraction Removal, designed to enhance photo editing capabilities in Lightroom and Adobe Camera Raw.
Adaptive Profiles leverages AI to analyze images and automatically adjust tones and colors. Unlike traditional presets, this tool customizes edits based on the specific photo while keeping manual controls unchanged. It is now available across multiple platforms, including Lightroom, Lightroom Classic, Lightroom Mobile (iOS & Android), Lightroom for Web, and Adobe Camera Raw.
Distraction Removal, another AI-driven feature, helps users eliminate unwanted elements such as photobombers or crowded backgrounds for cleaner, more professional results. Currently available in Camera Raw as a Tech Preview, it is set to roll out to Lightroom soon. A similar tool for removing window reflections was introduced last year.
Additional updates include a Find Duplicates feature in Lightroom’s Clean Up tool, new autofocus adjustments in Lightroom Classic’s Tether Live View, and improved Sony, Nikon, and Canon camera support. Adobe also announced workflow and performance enhancements, typography improvements, and a feature to simplify font selection in Illustrator.
Furthermore, the company launched a public beta for Project Neo, a 3D design tool aimed at graphic designers primarily working in 2D.
