LG introduces the first-ever 5K2K gaming monitor with a flexible display

LG has unveiled the UltraGear GX9 series, including the world’s first bendable 5K2K OLED gaming monitor, ahead of the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2025. The UltraGear GX9 45GX990A is a 45-inch gaming display that combines cutting-edge WOLED technology with features like anti-glare and low reflection. LG has announced that the monitor has earned several prestigious awards, including the ‘Best of Innovation’ accolade at CES 2025.

This flexible monitor can transition from a flat display to a 900R curvature and is designed for gamers, offering an ultra-fast 0.03ms (GtG) response time and support for variable refresh rates. It is also certified for NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro. Additionally, the monitor boasts a 5K2K (5,120 x 2,160) native resolution and a 21:9 aspect ratio.

The LG UltraGear GX9 45GX950A, another variant in the series, features an 800R curved display with the same 5K2K resolution and slim bezels around the entire screen. Both monitors feature a pixel density of 125 PPI and offer multiple connectivity options, including DisplayPort 2.1, HDMI 2.1, and a USB-C port with 90W power delivery, allowing for fast charging of laptops and Macs. They also come with webOS, enabling them to function as smart TVs.

LG will present these new models at CES 2025, with further pricing and product details expected during the event on January 27, 2025.
