Wipro inaugurates a Generative AI Center of Excellence at IIT Delhi

The teams at Wipro’s Center of Excellence will collaborate to develop cutting-edge solutions leveraging AI, Machine Learning (ML), and various other advanced technologies.

Global IT leader Wipro has revealed its collaboration with the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi (IIT Delhi) to establish a center of excellence focused on generative artificial intelligence.

Located at the Yardi School of Artificial Intelligence within IIT Delhi, this Center of Excellence (CoE) is exclusively focused on the advancement of practical research in the realm of generative AI, according to an official statement.

The primary objective of this initiative is to foster and enhance research and development capabilities in various emerging domains, particularly generative AI. Wipro’s Chief Technology Officer, Subha Tatavarti, emphasized that the CoE aims to bridge the gap between cutting-edge research and the availability of skilled professionals, providing a significant boost to talent acquisition.

The teams within Wipro’s Center of Excellence will collaborate to develop pioneering solutions harnessing AI, Machine Learning (ML), and additional technological advancements, as stated by the organization.

Industry experts opine that this center of excellence can provide students with valuable exposure to real-world challenges prevalent in the industry.
